Theology and Doctrine
The word “doctrine” means teaching. In the New Testament, we read that right—or true—doctrine serves as an integral part of Christian growth. (Ephesians chapter 4, verses 11-16; 1 Timothy, chapter 4, verse 6; Titus, chapter 1, verse 4) What we believe strongly influences how we think, how we act, and how we react to circumstances. Our values—what we hold as most important—drive everything about us. And what we think about God tops the list. So knowing our doctrine becomes very important to understanding what distinguishes Faith Bible Church.
